Clinic Instruction
This special opportunity women’s riding clinic will be led by Ride Rasmussen Style’s Cheyenne Rasmussen Hollingsworth and Nina Clifton. All clinics are focused on safety, education, and instruction. The instructors will start the clinic by covering avalanche safety and equipment to ensure the group as a whole is prepared for the days on the mountain. This women's clinic is for all female riders ready to up their skills in a smaller group setting with more available one-on-one with their instructors. During this 2-Day clinic, the focus will be on off-trail riding technique (ie. countersteering, maintaining sidehills, down-hill u-turns, steep terrain, tree riding). The clinic is geared to helping you learn tips and tricks on how to use the snowmobile to work with you. Giving you the confidence to make your days on the snow that much better. Cheyenne and Nina will assess your skills through observation and conversations with you. This assessment will allow the instructors to know where they can best help you with improvements. As we move through the terrain, we will continue to discuss avalanche safety and terrain management. Overall this skills clinic is going to refine the skills you already have and add to them. Cheyenne and Nina love to share their expertise. They take pride in seeing their students improve and gain confidence in their skills on a snowmobile.
What concepts is the clinic covering?
Safety: Avalanche Safety(i.e. Equipment, beacon recovery, Snow and Avalanche Reports, Route planning), Morning Safety Briefing, and Afternoon Debrief
Skills/Technique: Rider positioning, throttle and brake control, sidehilling, and counter-steering, body coordination and weight transfer, getting unstuck, etc.
Terrain: Mapping skills, route planning, reading terrain
Emergency/Communication: What to carry in your bag and communication equipment
Equipment: Equipment checks, belt adjustment, and track tension.
Loading and Unloading sleds on sled decks and in trailers.
Ride Time: Putting newly learned skills to the test between and after instruction and practice.

This area is used for free truck and trailer winter overnight parking. If you will be arriving from this direction, please reach out to Jake at Beartooth Rides and Guides to coordinate rides to and from Pilot Creek Parking to Beartooth Parking Area on clinic instruction days. Do you have to bring your own sled or will rentals be available? What is the cost for rentals?
IF you have your own sled and you would like to bring it, that is great. We do have a policy of no tracks shorter than 146ft and sleds older than a 2019 need to be passed by as ok prior to the event by Jake at Beartooth Rides and Guides. If you would prefer to rent a sled, rentals are available through RSC Powersports. The sleds are limited in number and with it being late February I would book your rental as soon as possible. Prices for sled rentals vary based on sled type and company If you visit the links above they will give you the prices of the different options. Please expect roughly $400 per day for rentals.
