DAY 2

HELL ROARING CREEK RIDE

Start your adventure with a breathtaking descent down a series of switchbacks, dropping 600 feet in just a mile, all the way to the suspension bridge over the Yellowstone River. Ride across the bridge with the roaring Yellowstone River 220 feet below your horse’s hooves. The trail then leads you through rolling sagebrush-covered terrain, stands of Douglas fir, and ancient rock outcrops—nature’s time capsule. If you’re lucky, you might spot a pronghorn antelope, elk, mule deer, moose, or bison crossing your path in the early morning light. At the confluence of Hellroaring Creek and the Yellowstone River, cold, clear waters tumble into the deep, surging current. A sandy beach hugs the shoreline while the sheer cliffs of the Black Canyon rise dramatically around you. Look up—you’ll likely spot osprey soaring overhead, scanning the water for trout. The trail continues through rocky forests to Yellowstone’s northern boundary, eventually leading into the Gallatin National Forest.

DAY 3

SLOUGH CREEK MEADOWS RIDE

As we ride through the three expansive meadows of Slough Creek, you’ll experience Yellowstone’s beauty at its finest. Here, the land stretches wide and open, with the creek meandering through lush grasslands where bison graze in the distance and eagles soar overhead. The trail follows the winding creek, leading us to the historic Elk Tongue Ranger Cabin, a landmark rich with the stories of the park’s early days. We’ll stop for a well-earned lunch along the large oxbow bends of Slough Creek, where the gentle sounds of flowing water and rustling grass create the perfect backdrop to soak in the moment. The ride home is just as awe-inspiring, with the golden afternoon light casting a magical glow over the landscape. Arriving back at the ranch, you’ll be greeted with another delicious homemade meal, the perfect way to end a day spent exploring one of Yellowstone’s most spectacular hidden gems.

DAY 4

TREK TO AMETHYST PEAK

Set out on your final day of adventure for one of our favorite, most unforgettable rides across Speciman Ridge. Traverse 20 miles of rugged terrain, gaining 3,860 feet in elevation as you ride along Specimen Ridge toward Amethyst Peak. Along the way, take in sweeping, bird’s-eye views of Lamar Valley, Yellowstone Canyon, and the vast Mirror Plateau, a perfect farewell to the wild beauty of Yellowstone.

Travel Information

Traveling to our beautiful ranch is an adventure in itself, offering stunning views of Yellowstone National Park and the majestic Beartooth Mountains along some of the most scenic and iconic roads in America. Please note that transportation is not included in the retreat package. However, we are happy to assist you in organizing and setting up transportation to the ranch, offering a range of options to suit various budgets and preferences.

  1. Car Transfer
Car transfers are available for those flying into Bozeman, MT; Billings, MT; or Cody, WY. Prices vary depending on the airport and typically range from $500 to $800 per direction. We can assist in arranging shared transfers with other guests traveling to the ranch. Private and group transfers are available. For a mixed experience, you can also choose to take a helicopter to the ranch and return to the airport by car shuttle.

  2. Car Rental
Renting a car for the week is our most popular option, offering flexibility and convenience. Prices vary depending on the rental company and vehicle type. Having your own car allows for seamless transportation into Yellowstone for day trip excursions and gives participants the freedom to explore the area during itinerary downtimes. We recommend that participants rent cars and drive to the ranch from one of the following three airports:

    • Cody, Wyoming (1.5 Hours)

    • Billings, Montana (3 Hours)

    • Bozeman, Montana (3,5 Hours)

  3. Helicopter Transfer
Experience the breathtaking beauty of Yellowstone National Park from above with a helicopter transfer. This luxurious option takes you directly from Bozeman Airport to the ranch. The cost is approximately $1,000 per person, per direction. It’s a splurge, but an unforgettable adventure!

Feel free to contact us for assistance in arranging your preferred mode of transportation. We’re here to ensure your trip is as smooth as possible!
