FLY-FISHING IN YELLOWSTONE (Private)

Full day fly-fishing excursion on the beautiful streams of Yellowstone

475 US dollars

Service Description

Saddle up, ride into the remote corners of Yellowstone National Park, and spend a full day fly-fishing some of the most iconic and untouched streams in the West. Whether you're a seasoned angler or brand new to the sport, this customizable adventure is the perfect way to unplug, explore, and experience the magic of Yellowstone's backcountry waters. Your day begins with a meet-up at the trailhead between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m., where your guide will help you pack your gear, lunch, and drinks before heading out on horseback. Most locations require a 1.5 to 2.5 hour ride into the backcountry, giving you plenty of time to soak in the views and settle into the rhythm of the trail. Once at the water, you'll spend the day casting for native cutthroat trout, wading pristine streams, and enjoying the solitude that only remote wilderness can offer. Don’t have fishing experience? No problem—we love introducing guests to the art of fly fishing and are happy to provide guidance, instruction, and all the gear you’ll need. Each ride includes use of our rods, reels, flies, and other essential equipment. We specialize in accessing Yellowstone’s lesser-traveled waters, including Pebble Creek, Cache Creek, Slough Creek, Hellroaring Creek, and the Yellowstone River. Your guide will help select the best destination based on the season, trail conditions, and your group’s preferences. Ride time, trail difficulty, and fishing technicality vary by location, and we’re happy to tailor the day to your comfort level and goals. Midday, you’ll pause for a hearty sack lunch along the riverbank, packed with a sandwich, homemade cookies, trail mix or nuts, fresh fruit, and your choice of drinks from our cooler—usually a variety of water, Gatorade, and soft drinks. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available upon request. All-day fishing trips require a minimum of two participants. If your preferred date isn’t available online, give us a call at (406) 838-2380—we often have flexibility in our schedule. After booking, you’ll receive a welcome packet via email with forms to complete for each adult participant. Parents or guardians will need to sign for minors under 18. All taxes and fees are included in the trip price, along with a 4% Montana resort tax. If you have any questions at any point during the booking process, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to make planning your trip as seamless and enjoyable as the day itself.
